The Decision Making Super Power You Are Probably Ignoring

Updated: Jul 9

We operate in a society that favours logic. We are conditioned to believe that facts and figures hold all the answers & that data and certainty should be top of mind when it comes to making decisions, however the most powerful & successful leaders don’t depend on logic alone… they have learnt to tap into and trust something far deeper & quieter.

They have learnt to trust their intuition.

Intuition is more than just a gut feeling

As Jung beautifully described it: "Intuition is perception via the unconscious that brings forth ideas, images, new possibilities, and ways out of blocked situations."

From a spiritual perspective, it's something far more profound.

It's your internal navigation system - accessing wisdom that lives beneath everyday awareness. A knowing that emerges without step-by-step reasoning. An intelligence that speaks through your body and connects you to deeper truth.

Jung also described intuition as "perception via the unconscious" and recognized it as one of four basic psychological functions alongside thinking, feeling, and sensing.

Intuition isn't merely a tool. It's a guide.

Distinguishing Between Ego and Intuition

Both ego and intuition communicate during decision-making moments. But their frequencies are distinct.

Ego speaks with:

  • Urgency, volume, fear

  • "Should" statements and doubt

  • Tension and pressure

  • A drive for control

Intuition speaks with:

  • Quiet groundedness and steadiness

  • Clarity rooted in alignment

  • Openness, calm, expansion

  • A search for truth

Ego demands control. Intuition seeks alignment.

When you're uncertain which voice is speaking, tune into your body:

Ego generates constriction. Intuition creates calm. Ego pushes. Intuition gently guides.

Why We've Been Taught to Dismiss It

Many high-achieving women grew up learning to trust only what could be proven, not what could be felt.

We were celebrated for being polished, rational, and accommodating, not for honoring our inner voice.

Yet your intuition, the one you've been conditioned to doubt, is frequently the most accurate compass you possess.

When you stop silencing it, you begin to reclaim your complete, genuine power.

You Don't Need to Choose Logic or Intuition

This isn't about rejecting reasoning. It's about integration.

Allow your intuition to illuminate the path. Allow logic to create the framework.

When you lead from both sources, you become precise and powerful, strategic and soul-aligned.

This is living and leading uninhibited.

Intuition doesn't require justification. It simply needs acknowledgment.

What decision are you overthinking right now?

What would happen if you honoured the quiet voice within, the one that already knows?

Your inner wisdom doesn't need to make perfect sense to everyone else. It just needs to be heard by you.

Here’s to learning to tap into and trust the divine within us!
